Dog Walker

Requirements

  • Please bring your dogs food in a resealable container (zip loc bags work great!)

  • You can also bring a bed/comfort item for your dog
-keep in mind that sometimes Dogs will chew when they are not normally a chewer when in an unfamiliar environment, so please make sure that you are confident that the item is not a choking hazard for your dog.

Requirements for all dog services

  • It is Iowa Law that all dogs must be up to date on parvo, distemper, and rabies, and we take it a step further requiring kennel cough vaccinations. Physical proof from a veterinarian with veterinarian letterhead is required. A rabies certificate signed by a veterinarian is also required.

  • All dogs are required to be kennel/crate trained. Cases of separation anxiety are on a case by case basis. This is to help ensure their safety and comfort level as well as our staff's.

  • We do not accept dogs with aggression issues of any kind towards people.

  • All dogs from out of state are required by Iowa Law to have a certificate of veterinary inspection. (This is to show that a vet has inspected the animal to be free of communicable diseases and parasites.)

  • We require all dogs to be at least 20 weeks of age and to have been owned by enrolling owner for at least 10 days.

Daycare/Group Play Requirements

  • It is Iowa Law that all dogs participating in group play be spayed/neutered (with written documentation) after the age of 6 months old, up to date on the previously listed vaccines, and have a pre-entry screening.

  • The pre-entry screening is to evaluate your dog's temperament, ability to interact with other dogs and people. A written social history from the owner must be provided. (This includes ability to play in other daycares/group settings, aggression towards others, etc.)

  • Pre-entry screenings are not pass or fail, they are to determine which area of play is best suited for your dog. Some dogs are best suited in smaller groups, or individual play.

  • A written documentation of the dog's medical history. This is to give us a better picture as to which play group or setting that your dog can psychically withstand. Including but not limited to, break requirements.
